About us
Located in Chattanooga, TN, ACT Workforce Curriculum is the division that creates, maintains and distributes curriculum tools for ACT’s Work Readiness System. The learning tools include KeyTrain for WorkKeys® skills and Career Ready 101, which includes KeyTrain as well as soft skills, life skills, career exploration and other vital work readiness preparation tools.
Company history
KeyTrain was originally created by Thinking Media, a Chattanooga-based company started in 1997 by Sheila C. Boyington, P.E. and Dr. Dane R. Boyington as a custom developer of highly technical, customized computer-based training for manufacturing and government agencies such as DuPont, Brach and Brock Candy, and the City of Chattanooga.
In December of 2010, ACT Inc. acquired Thinking Media’s KeyTrain® system in a move to incorporate KeyTrain’s curriculum and training offerings into its ACT Work Readiness System. The acquisition brought KeyTrain assets and employees under the ACT umbrella.
