3/7/2011 ACT-Sponsored Webinar for TAACCCT Grant Responders Attracts Hundreds
On March 3, 2011, ACT sponsored a webinar designed to inform interested parties about credentialing and training tools as they relate to the recent Solicitation for Grant Applications (SGA) under the Trade Adjustment Assistance Community College And Career Training (TAACCCT) grants program. Nearly 300 people registered for the online session.
Presenters included representatives from the National Association of Manufacturers/the Manufacturing Institute, the Center for Energy Workforce Development, and ACT, Inc. Discussion focused on how various methods and deployments of industry-recognized and evidence-based credentials such as the National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC), as well as associated online curriculum and learning tools, can play an important role in the SGA. The 50-minute session was well-received by the hundreds of attendees.
Resource documents, usage examples that follow the SGA point-for-point, the powerpoint from the webinar, and a recording of the online session can be found here: http://www.act.org/taaccct/
