Writing
Writing and Listening are the skills of understanding audio information and relaying that information in a different form. These skills are evaluated together in a WorkKeys assessment. Similarly, KeyTrain groups these together in two companion courses.

Writing assesses the ability to compose a grammatically correct written message from the information. Spelling, punctuation, sentence structure and flow are all considered.

KeyTrain emphasizes the skills needed to write effective, business-oriented passages from different information. Some of the topics covered include sentence structure, punctuation, spelling (common errors), organizing information, vocabulary and proofreading.

Users practice these skills by identifying passages that convey information in recorded passages in the best-written style. The course also includes suggested writing assignments with sample answers.
