WorkKeys Assessment
ACT is a nationally recognized expert in the development of sound, fair, and exhaustive standardized assessments. ACT has developed a series of assessments for each of the eight WorkKeys skill areas. Unlike college entrance tests, these assessments are criterion based and represent skill demonstrations, not aptitudes. The assessments measure academic skills, but in a way that is applied and practical in the workplace. There is one assessment for each of the eight skill areas. A given person may take only the assessments of interest or required for a certain job - not all eight are required. The tests normally take about 40 minutes each. Tests are administered and scored by certified WorkKeys service centers or their trained agents. Community colleges in your area normally provide these services for a nominal fee.

After taking the assessment, the client receives a report detailing the specific skills that they have demonstrated. These can then be used as the basis for counseling or identifying skill and training needs.
